About Osteopathy

Manual Osteopathic Practitioners are recognized professionals in the West, and their effective treatment methods are widely acknowledged. Most insurance companies offer coverage for osteopathy services, and they are commonly utilized by Westerners. In Canada, this modality is not regulated, so the market is not very standardized. You can enter the area and get insurance coverage by graduating from a manual osteopathy program and joining an association. Currently, the tuition fees vary from a few thousand to tens of thousands of dollars, and the duration of programs ranges from 6 months to 5 years. What differs is the level of hands-on training as well as the association you can join after graduation, and the extent of recognition by insurance  companies. Some schools graduates can only join associations recognized by smaller insurance companies, which can significantly impact their future practice.
