由于CMTO出台了新的操作标准并且要求大家在STRIVE里面体现这部分的学习内容，为了让大家完全理解并能按照新的标准操作，老师特地为大家准备了这个课程，详细讲解需要两个学习周期来完成，这个周期我们先完成第一部分，为了让更多的人能更好了解这部分内容，这个课程我们会分别在2022和2023提供两次给大家，请各位按照你的时间安排课程

 

课程名称：New Standards of Practice for RMT - Outcomes-based Massage Therapy practice

 

针对对象：RMT Strive 

 

课程目的/:

Course Objectives: Upon the completion of the course, participants should be able to: 

1. Recognize client-centric and include a client outcome statement that will help clients understand what to expect from their MT/RMT.

2. Manage outcomes-based and aim to provide the fewest requirements possible while still upholding client safety.

3. Apply evidence informed massage to day to day professional practice.

4. Applicable across all practice settings, regardless of practice environment.

5. Design to offer flexibility and RMTs may apply the Standards in a way that is most suitable for their practice, as long as they first meet all the minimum requirements outlined in each Standard.

6. Link to STRiVE – the Quality Assurance Program and are closely associated with the 15 Career-Span Competencies.

 Examinations:  Course Grading is based on in class assignment and case study.

 

Methods of Instruction: Lecture, class discussion, case demonstration and case study.

 

Attendance Policy: Students are expected to attend all lectures.

老师介绍 Teacher:

David Dong Liu, Doctor degree in Acupuncture and TCM, Master degree in Health & Kinesiology, a registered massage therapist, licensed osteopathic manual practitioner, sport injury and prevention specialist, registered acupuncturist and RTCMP in Ontario. David has been teaching and practicing integrative health & rehabilitation for over 20 years, especially has the passion in the development of Kinetic-Meridian Acupuncture, Tuina and Taping theories and practice. In his clinical practice, David has rich experiences for pain, injury and trauma healing, including caring for patients with spinal cord injury and clients with bladder and bowel dysfunction. David has provided onsite care as a team therapist to international caliber figure skaters at national and international competitions. David also enjoys practicing TaiChi Qigong and mindfulness, and has competed in both the Canadian and International TaiChi Championships.
